American Mock World Health Organization (AMWHO) Conference @ UGA
We want to warmly invite you to the upcoming Georgia Regional Conference that is scheduled to be held on March 24, 2017-March 26, 2017 on the UGA campus. The American Mock World Health Organization (AMWHO) is the national structure for creating a simulation of the World Health Assembly and invites high school, undergraduate and graduate students to debate and discuss a predetermined theme. The Georgia Regional Conference (GRC) will likewise simulate the World Health Assembly by means of focusing on the conference theme of Food Insecurity. While, food insecurity is a global issue, it also deeply affects Athens-Clarke County and thus has been the topic of much research and social work on the University of Georgia campus.The GRC will enable students to create similar resolutions from the Assembly, engage with speakers and peers throughout the conference, and obtain sound knowledge and skills of diplomacy, policy creation, and debate.
