Mentorship matters.

The UGA College of Public Health is home to a committed and collaborative research culture that understands the crucial role that faculty play in the success of students.

The diversity in research undertaken at CPH, as well as the wide-breadth of expertise among our faculty, offers opportunities for students to pursue research in areas of public health that interest them at home and abroad.

Your work matters.

UGA CPH has 12 interdisciplinary Research Working Groups and over two dozen faculty research labs where students can learn, contribute, and eventually lead efforts to investigate public health’s big questions.

We also know that mentors aren’t limited to faculty. CPH has student groups dedicated to mentoring peers, and the College has a formal mentor matching program.

Outreach & Service

The concepts of outreach, service, practice, and education are at the core of the UGA College of Public Health’s mission.

The College places an emphasis on community-oriented problem solving, putting the theories and concepts explored in the classroom into practice in real-world settings. Faculty, staff, and students at the College tackle the big public health challenges head on through engaged research and outreach.
