Roles and Responsibilities
I will serve as Project Coordinator for the research tasks involving distribution of pharmaceuticals and healthcare extension. In addition, I will serve as educational coordinator over all University of Georgia educational activities for the Center. As such I will facilitate distance learning opportunities, establish joint degree/certificate programs, expand course offerings for undergraduate and graduate students and recruitment of minority students.Area of Specialty
I have been the Director of Pharmacy Education for CMADD since 2002 and developed the first Pharmacy course and 5-week PharmD rotation for bioterrorism and mass casualty Disasters in the United States. This program has trained over 200 pharmacy students and served as a template for other Colleges of Pharmacy who want to expand their curriculum into this area. I am also a BDLS/ADLS certified instructor. I have worked extensively with the Georgia Department of Public Health and American Red Cross on planning for mass casualty management and distribution of the Strategic National StockpileProfessional Affiliations
