A concentration in Health Promotion and Behavior equips you with
a comprehensive understanding of the determinants of health and
the skills necessary to direct programming efforts at influencing
or facilitation health-related behavior, advocating public health
policy, creating supportive environments, strengthening community
action and reorienting health services in order to improve quality
of life.
A focus in Health Promotion and Behavior prepares you to:
- Design, implement, and evaluate behavior change programs for a variety of health-related behaviors, including alcohol, tobacco, and other substance use, physical activity, diet, sexual behavior, and cancer screening.
