A concentration in Health Promotion and Behavior equips you with a comprehensive understanding of the determinants of health and the skills necessary to direct programming efforts at influencing or facilitation health-related behavior, advocating public health policy, creating supportive environments, strengthening community action and reorienting health services in order to improve quality of life.

Advisement appointments for Health Promotion and Behavior (HPRB) students should be made with Dr. Hein. Students who are interested in the major or intended in the major should contact Michael Lionbarger.

Scheduling Advisement Appointments

Advisement appointments are scheduled with Dr. Hein or Mr. Lionbarger during fall and spring semesters.

Dr. Hein: A sign-up sheet for appointments may be found on the door of Room 321 of the Ramsey Center. If coming to the Ramsey Center is not an option, you may email Dr. Hein to schedule an appointment. Appointments during the summer are possible and need to be made by email.

Mr. Lionbarger: Email to schedule an appointment. Interested and intended students who need an appointment in the summer should email Dr. Hein.
