WHG research assistant Kristin Baker earns title of "Master of Public Health" and is accepted to the Health Promotion and Behavior Doctoral program.

Under the direction of Mark Wilson, Bob Vandenberg, and Pamela Orpinas, Workplace Health Group research assistant, Kristin Baker, successfully completed her Master’s project entitled "Association between Comorbid Mental and Physical Health and Employee Productivity.” Findings from the research suggest that those with comorbid mental and physical health disorders are less productive than those with pure mental or physical disorders. Kristin was accepted into the Health Promotion and Behavior Doctoral program for the Spring 2008. Congratulations Kristin!


WHG research assistant Joanne Christaldi successfully completes her oral and written comprehensive examinations and begins working on her dissertation.

Joanne’s dissertation research will be a qualitative study exploring obese adults who not only have successfully lost weight but also have maintained their weight loss. In particular, she will explore why and how these adults are successful when most fail. Congratulations Joanne!


Former WHG post-doc Lindsay Della accepts an Assistant Professor position in the Department of Communication at the University of Louisville. Congratulations Lindsay!
