Hepburn named Assistant Dean and Assistant Professor

HPAM is pleased that Dr. Valerie Hepburn will be joining us full-time in January 2008 as Assistant Dean to the College and Assistant Professor in our Department. Dr. Hepburn comes to us from the Institute of Public Health at Georgia State University, where she was Associate Director. Prior to that position, Dr. Hepburn worked for many years in state government including a long tenure at Georgia’s Division of Public Health. She received her Ph.D. in policy from UGA’s Sc. Her academic and research areas are in public policy and finance, with specific focus on resource and management issues in health systems. She just received a grant from the Healthcare Georgia Foundation and the University System of Georgia to develop the planning, evaluation and research infrastructure to support public and private health professions education programs in Georgia.
