The Institute of Gerontology is the hub for coordinating and conducting The University of Georgia's education, research, and outreach services associated with the study of aging and older adults. Through its 30-plus member university-wide Faculty of Gerontology, the Institute collaborates with educators and researchers within Georgia, regionally, nationally, and internationally.

**Here's the latest information on the 2012 Study Abroad trip to Taiwan.**
In special circumstances, students have the opportunity to take a graduate level gerontology course at another institution in a traditional classroom or through distance learning technologies. Students may transfer one graduate course into their Certificate program, if appropriate.
Students must seek advance written approval from the Institute of Gerontology before enrolling in a course at another college or university which is to be applied towards the Certificate Program.
