Non-Traditional & Non-degree Seeking Students

In recent years, an increasing number of middle-aged and older adults have expressed an interest in enrolling in the Certificate in Gerontology Program for a variety of reasons. For example, some individuals would like to gain additional expertise as part of their on-going professional development. Other individuals might seek to broaden their knowledge, as part of a pattern of life-long learning.

It is possible to matriculate through the Certificate in Gerontology Program, as a non-degree seeking student. Special steps must be taken, however, to do so. First, a prospective non-degree seeking student must be admitted to the Graduate School before officially applying for admission to the Gerontology Certificate Program.
