Institute Director Receives 2008 Tibbitts Award

Institute of Gerontology Director Dr. Leonard Poon received the prestigious Tibbitts Award for 2008, and delivered the Tibbitts lecture on February 22 at the annual meeting of the Association of Gerontology in Higher Education.  

"Dr. Poon shared the themes of a video documentary project, Its about time, which examines how time impacts the perception and reflections on one’s aging as well as the meaning of personal aging drawn from everyday deeds and action learned from individuals and groups of individuals."
