The 50 members of the university-wide Faculty of Gerontology welcome inquiries and collaboration on their research on aging. Research areas range from genetics, normal to pathological memory changes, vision, nutrition, exercise science and pharmacy to adult education, social work, and marketing.
Events
The conference aims to provide students with practical experiences associated with academic and applied gerontology. It was conceived as a vehicle for students to network with key professionals in aging, and to gain first hand experiences in all aspects of organizing and hosting a conference, including post-convention monographs and publications. Further, the Convention is used to promote student professional development, share important student work in the fields of gerontology and geriatrics, and teach faculty/student mentoring. Attendance at the Conference is open to all persons interested in gerontology and geriatrics, including the general public.
Several southeastern institutions co-sponsor the Conference each year along with The University of Georgia. Please visit this link for more information on the Call for Abstracts, as well as the registration form.
We hope you will join us in Tybee Island.
