The Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics faculty pursue research in chronic disease, infectious disease and biostatistics. In the last two years faculty members have published 53 peer reviewed papers and made 32 presentations at scientific meetings. Since 2008, total grant funding awarded to the department exceeds $3.4 million. Total grant activity for the department exceeds $7.3 million. Faculty also provide instruction in undergraduate and graduate students in the MPH and DrPH programs serving more than 600 students in the 2009-2010 academic year.
