SNS Program Coordinator
Annual Salary Minimum: $39,038.32
Annual Salary Maximum: $53,728.30
Duties & Responsibilities: The Georgia Department of Public Health, Division of Health Protection, Section of Emergency Preparedness and Response is seeking a Program Consultant – SNS/CRI Coordinator for the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) program.
Under the supervision of the SNS Program Manager, this position is responsible for coordinating and implementing of the State’s Strategic National Stockpile (SNS)/ Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) program. Develops reviews and maintains the program’s medical countermeasure plan and supporting documentation for the annual state technical assistance review. Collaborates with federal, state, local partners to ensure integration of response plans and provide training to state partners. Conducts annual local technical assistance reviews and provide consistent guidance and feedback to the local public health districts.
This position is also responsible for creating planning guidance, procedures, reports, and templates for the local public health districts.
Incumbent will be required to travel throughout the state as necessary to provide oversight to all programs of responsibility
Ability to respond to a public health emergency after hours and/or on weekends as necessary is also required.
Minimum Training & Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years experience performing work related to area of assignment Or Master's degree in a related field and two years experience performing work related to area of assignment Or One year at the lower level or position equivalent. Note: Some positions may require licensure
Agency Specific Qualifications and/or Preferred Qualifications: Experience and knowledge of the CDC Strategic National Stockpile program and Public Health Emergency Preparedness Planning, specifically in the field of Bioterrorism
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications and SharePoint
A Master’s degree from an accredited university in the public health, public safety field or public policy fields
