**Admissions offices recommend submitting all materials as soon as possible since applications can take 3 to 4 weeks to be processed.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

Applicants to the College of Public Health for the MPH degree program must apply to both the Graduate School and to the SCHOOLS OF PUBLIC HEALTH APPLICATION SERVICE. Please see the two-step process outlined below.

Applications are considered in their entirety before making admission decisions. In general, the following minimum test scores are recommended:

• Undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 (on a 0- to 4-point scale).
• GRE test score of 1000 for verbal and quantitative sections combined for previous GRE reporting (under the previous scoring system). Please see ETS concordance table for new scoring equivalent.
  • or GMAT test score of 550.

Step 1: Application to the UGA Graduate School

• Application processing fee
• Official GRE scores sent by the testing agency (UGA institutional code for ETS reporting: 8345). 

              *If you intend to submit MCAT, or if your GRE scores are more than 5-years-old, please contact MPH admissions at mph@uga.edu.

• or Official GMAT scores sent by the testing agency (UGA institutional code for GMAT reporting: Z95-H2-83). For more information, please visit the GMAT.
• Application for Georgia residence status (if claiming legal residence in Georgia)

Domestic applicants: Official transcripts sent to the Graduate School are only required in the event of an acceptance

Step 2: Application to the MPH program

• Completed SOPHAS application:    

• Official academic transcripts from all institutions attended sent directly to SOPHAS
• Statement of Purpose and Objectives
• At least 3 letters of recommendation. Applicants are strongly encouraged to have their references also complete the ETS/PPI. There is no additional fee for those who completed the GRE. Go to GRE for more information.
• Standardized test scores (GRE, GMAT, MCAT, etc.)
• Resume
