Mo Wahome is originally from Kenya but now lives in Loganville GA. She is currently a senior at the University. She is majoring in Environmental Health Science. She is a volunteer with AIDS Athens, and is also the treasurer of American Water Resources Association, (UGA Chapter). She also enjoys tutoring Swahili on campus and learning different cultures as well. After graduation she hopes to attend grad school in pursuit of a MPH in epidemiology and biostatistics. She also plans on getting a doctorate in epidemiology or global health and go back to her native country for a greater impact. She would love to be remembered as a person who embraces all the great opportunities that come her way.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • New student recruitment, presentations, and serving as one of several spokespersons for a specific academic department with the College.
  • Participating in CPH lecture series, student welcome socials, graduation, and other programs during the academic year.
  • Participation in college-related programs with alumni.
  • Refine presentation skills
  • Increase leadership potential
  • Develop a strong professional network of students, faculty, alumni, and professionals in public health science fields
  • Work with other ambassadors on a specific project to benefit the College of Public Health
