Ruby is currently a 2nd year health promotion major/pre-med from Johns Creek, GA. She enjoys playing badminton, going out to eat or shoping in downtown Athens, and playing games or watching tv with friends.
She has participated in ACMP (Asian Children Mentoring Program), volunteered in AASA (Asian American Student Association), and currently serves as the secretary for FIMRC (Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children). She is also a research assistant in the CHFD department on a project researching pre-natal and infant development with Dr. Hui-Chin Hsu. She hopes to be part of a medical internship or volunteer opportunity abroad in the near future.
Ruby finds that a global experience is necessary for anyone going into the medical field. After graduation, she plans to either gain a dual degree of MPH/MD and work for a major health organization or go to medical school and specialize in pediatrics.
